I just downloaded and started up the BZ. Started to enter a dog, put in registered name and call name. Left the breed blank since none had been setup. Tried to edit the breeds but the page says "Gender is a Required field". So then I tried to enter the gender and it says "This record cannot be modified in this window because it is already being modified in different window."

So I look around and see there is another window with the same dog below the one I'm working on. The top window says "Libraries" in the upper left corner and the window underneath says " BreederZoo". I can't exit this screen because it wants the gender but it won't let me enter gender.

HELP!

Theresa

I was just able to delete the dog in the top window and get back to the window that says 'breederzoo' in the upper left corner and am able to add gender there.  Discovered that if I skip the 'breed' field and try to enter the gender first, then I get a double window and the errors shown above.

I know the "Gender is Required field" is annoying sometimes, but in there as a safeguard. Designed especially when you are entering pedigrees. The reason it said "This record cannot be modified in this window because it is already being modified in a different window" is because you clicked the edit button which takes you to a new window. After you are done editing a library you just need to close that window. The "Close" button is on the bottom right-hand-side of the page.
