When adding pedigrees for dogs, I often do not know if a dog is still active or is retired, which seem to be the only options.

I look them all up in the ALAA data base. Of course, some of the dogs aren't there and some of the owners may not update their status. I also wish there was a category for Deceased.

Also maybe a category for Unknown. Not all dogs are in the ALAA data base.

"Active Dam", "Active Sire", "Retired" is meant for your personal dogs only. It is designed to make accessing your own dogs easier. On the upper left-hand corner of the dogs page, you will see the corresponding buttons. That way when you want quick access to all of you current breeding females, just click on the "Active Dam" button, etc. I personally use this feature ALL the time.

Gotcha. That makes more sense.

Unfortunately we did not know that it was only meant to be for our dogs, and we guessed at a status for many dogs. Now we need a different category such as "unknown" to be able to correct that status. Otherwise when we search for our active males and active females, we will get all of these other dogs that we guessed at. Can you do this?
