How to handle contacts that have applied for a future puppy?

Sometimes I have families who fill out an application for a puppy from an unspecified future litter. For example I've had several recently apply for a puppy to take home next summer.

The only way I can think of would be to make two imaginary dogs and then make an imaginary breeding so that I can create this future reservation list. This is fine...just wondering if there is any other way that I'm overlooking.

Your idea is probably the best way to do it. That may be something we can look into adding to the program when we do major yearly updates.

This is definitely needed.

That feature will be added. It's just going to take awhile. It is not a quick, simple addition. It will require several hours of programming, tabs, portals, relationships, etc. I need to figure out where I feel the best place in the program is to add that feature. It will be added in conjunction with guardian reservations, and current guardian homes. If all goes well with group 2, I may have time to work on it in the next few weeks, but I am not making any promises. I've learned the hard way not to do that:)

When you make this addition, could there be a choice attached to it or a note place for size, gender and colors? Thanks, Christy.
