Entering Dogs

As I was entering the first dog, It won't let me enter Breed. When I went on to sex, it stated it could not continue as it was updating in another open program. Somehow, 2 windows have opened? and when I try to close one, it won't until I fill in the gender? Now I cannot close either window. Why did a second window open?
it cannot be modified in this window because it is being modified in another window. I cannot close the window because it requires the field to be filled in.

update: Program would not let me quit. It kept prompting for required gender field. I finally figured out if I deleted the dog, it would close the window. I will start over and see how it goes.

I've heard of that happening a few times. We are looking for a fix. It only happens when people are starting the program for the first time. To fix this go to Customize/Dog Puppy Libraries, enter as many drop down menu items as you can like, breed, color, size, etc. The program will always make you enter the gender of each dog before you can proceed. It is built in as a safety mechanism for pedigrees. Now try entering a dog again be sure to add the gender.
